What is Life
How do we define life?
Is it one long trailing piece or a set of sequel broken into small digestible parts? How do you know you have lived and achieved your purpose?
What is purpose even?
We choose to define ourselves based on what we regularly do, our aspirations or based on the people around us.
But is that all what our lives are?
For the longest time I have defined myself as a software engineer, a web designer and digital marketer. This is because they are disciplines I either studied in school or got a passion in and pursued them. I have always had an interest in software engineering and went ahead to study it at University level. I practiced it afterwards but didn’t feel the fulfilment I thought I would derive from it. So the next thing I focused on web design and digital marketing since they are spaces I was and still is passionate about it. The learning curve was fairly easy and quick since the interest was already there. 5 years into the practice I still feel there is more I can do to give the world and more to learn
During the Impressionist era, budding painters would be taken to art schools to learn and master the art as a protégé of a more refined painter. This coupled with constant practice would then define the rest of their lives as painters and some would go and be acknowledged the best of the best. Often posthumously.
